Modelling Project: Create a model of your own hand using polygon modelling

Problem: Analyze youe hand as a modelling object, take pictures of it. model your hand using polygon modelling.

Solution: I started off by building the palm using 4 curves and lofting around them. Each curve was setup to have 12 points and there were 6 spans between 2 curves. Then I used cylinders and curves to extrude along to make fingers. Next, combined the meshes and used the merge vertex toolto join the fingers to the palm.

For detailing the fingers, used the interative split tool, offset edge loop tool and resizing. After this, I just moved the vertices on the palm to create uneven surfaces to match the picture.
