About Me

Heyo! My name is Ayush and I am a VR researcher who uses the lens of perception to understand human behavior and improve the overall user experience for immersive experiences. My research interests include affordance perception in Virtual Reality (VR), Perception-Action calibration in VR, self-avatars, 3D interaction metaphors, Cybersickness, integration of 3D printed tangibles in VR, VR based educational training simulations and User Experience (UX) research.

I defended my dissertation on “The Effect of Anthropometric Properties of Self-Avatars on Action Capabilities in Virtual Reality” attaining a PhD in Computer Science from Clemson University under the mentorship of Dr. Sabarish V. Babu.

I am an alumnus of the Virtual Environments Group at Clemson University and worked on several interdisciplinary research projects with the Department of Psychology and Human-Centered Computing at Clemson as part of the group.
